5. How would you describe the differences in the style of your 4 albums?
I think the 1st album ‘Moments’ was very innocent, I mean I wasn’t really working on an album, I got an offer from Alchemy Records in the UK, and needed to finish few more tracks to complete the album and so I did. This was before I fully got into the scene and didn’t know what will happen.
The 2nd album ‘Faith’ was the conclusion of ‘Moments’, after touring 1 year and on the way trying to produce and take all of my melodies to a different level as I did on ‘Faith’.
After Came ‘Dawn’ which was more minimal and with less melodies, I wanted something different from my last 2 albums (which were very melodic).
After ‘Dawn’ I decided before another album that I want a totally different project, with my music mixed with my other favorite artists, and here we meet Re:Construct which is the most exciting project I ever worked on! Some remixes to my favorite acts such as Son Kite, Protoculture, and other big names remixing my music- Lish, Liquid Soul, Atomic Pulse and more…
6. Are there any artists that somehow had an influence of the development of your music/style/production skills?
I can definitely say Avichen Livne AKA Cosma, I think this artist had the biggest influence on me as an artists and a person…
As for production wise, I always believe in digging hard until I find something, and that’s what I did most of my life, trying to find the next sound, technique etc.
7. Are there any collaborations with other aritsts or do you have any side-projects?
I’m secretly working on my prog/deep house side project called ‘Deeper’, still don’t know where i’m going to release it. It’s my new baby and I really want to take it slowly.
I already had a tour in Australia last Feb together with my main act Fatali at Maitreya Festival and the official after party back in Melbourne. Im playing in August in Japan, also with my main act Fatali for 4 gigs.
Also in September in Mexico, an official tour with B&A Agency. So, as for now, before any release there’s nice feedback from the promoters and the house scene as well. Hopefully around start of 2008 I’ll release the 1st EP Single for ‘Deeper’.
8. Where do you get your inspirations from? Are there any special events, situations, people, friends,...
I let everything happening in my life to inspire me, it can be a great event, traveling, meeting new ppl, places or even a nice dinner and back to the studio to push it up. I think that’s what’s so nice in producing music, you can really share your places, personality and make people happy without even speaking…
9. Your fourth album is "ready to be out" - what are your plans for the next months and what do you have in mind for the next year?
I had during May/June 7 launch parties in Israel which have been very very cooool! I have never had so many launch parties before a release and all of them were really successful with great support from the promoters.
I just got back from 3 festivals in Europe - Tshitraka Germany, Cosmic Wedding Switzerland & Psy Files Dance Festival in Turkey.
This weekend I am going to play in Israel @ a nice open air event in the north and right after flying to Japan tour for 10 days SOS Festival and from there, to OV Silence Festival in Hamburg and a weekend later to Stockholm. In September I’m going for 2 weeks to Mexico with 5 confirmed bookings.
So, Im very excited to launch the new album all over, after that I hope to come back for full work in the studio for the next Fatali Album…
As for next year, I think that’s going to be my main focus, releasing my best album ever, and trying to produce some others productions as well, should be interesting …
10. Some words about the actual development (expanding) of the psytrance scene worldwide. Good or bad? Will the hype lead to the end of psy? Or will the hype never end?
Well, when I started, I never thought I was going to be recognized in Israel as an artist and get signed by a professional record company. Today the trance scene is no longer “Drugs Music”, it is recognized by the electronic media and scene, and I think its just great and the psy trance will get even to a newer heights in the future! I think when others from different scenes will experience a really great event they will fall in love with it as many others and I did!
Thanks a lot for a really interesting interview!
Keep up the super great work darling!
Cheers Eitan.
